Paint Grade Hardwood uses a variety of different hardwood species and is used for painted projects. The hardwood species used provides a smooth, sturdy surface for accepting paint. For Recessed Panel door styles we use the material name Paintable Veneer Panel / Paintable Hardwood Frame.

Paint Grade HardwoodPaint Grade Hardwood allows our manufacturing team to choose from several different hardwood materials, ranging from Maple, Soft Maple, Alder and more. The material will be sound (without major knots) with an allowance for color variation and other natural characteristics. It may also contain putty on the face where a defect may have been filled. This material is designed solely for painting purposes. -
