True louvered doors are made with many small slats inserted into the frame of the door at a slight angle. These slats allow for venting to occur across the panel area of the door while hiding the contents of the cabinet.
Louvered look doors are made using several molded wood staves which are profiled to have the appearance of a louvered door. These panels do not have vents.
